Job description

Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious CDL Driver to support our underground utility construction operations. This role involves the safe operation of commercial vehicles to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites. When not driving, the CDL Driver will assist with general labor and site work as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Operate Class A commercial vehicles, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and equipment trailers.
  • Transport heavy equipment, tools, and materials to job sites in a safe and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate driving logs and delivery records.
  • Properly secure loads in accordance with legal and safety standards.
  • Comply with all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any issues or required maintenance.
  • Assist with loading and unloading construction materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors and crews to meet project schedules.
  • Assist underground utility crews with labor tasks, including digging, site cleanup, and equipment handling.

Required Skills & Abilities
  • Valid CDL Class A
    with a clean driving record.
  • 2+ years of commercial driving experience required; experience in construction is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
  • Ability to tow trailers with heavy equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor conditions.
  • Must be able to work safely outdoors in Arizona heat conditions and perform all job duties with no restrictions.
  • Experience working around underground utilities (water, sewer, etc.) preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends if required.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
