Job description

Snout Services is a small, locally owned pet care company in Madison, Alabama. We take care of pets in their own homes with drop-in visits, walks, overnight house sitting, and pet taxi runs. Our clients trust us because we show up on time, communicate well, and treat their pets like our own. We treat our sitters the same way, and we're building a team that takes pride in doing things right.

What a typical day looks like: You'll head to a few different homes for drop-in visits, usually 30 or 60 minutes each. That covers feeding, fresh water, a walk, some playtime, scooping the litter, and giving medication if needed. You'll send the owner a few photos and a quick update so they know their pet is happy and well cared for. Some clients book overnight house sitting, where you stay at their home with their pets, and every so often we have a pet taxi run to drive a dog or cat to a vet or grooming appointment. We keep everything organized in our app, and staying in touch with owners is a big part of why they trust us.

Because pets need care every day, some visits may fall on weekends and holidays, and the role involves driving between homes throughout the day. Midday availability is required. We want to be upfront about that so you know what to expect going in.

What we're looking for:

  • Someone who genuinely loves animals and is comfortable around dogs of all sizes
  • A reliable, on-time person clients can count on. We hold ourselves to a professional standard of service
  • A dependable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and comfort driving around Madison area
  • Flexible availability, the more you're available, the more work we can offer you
  • Willingness to pass a background check, since you'll be trusted with clients' homes and keys

What we offer:

  • Pay per job
  • The more visits, pets, and overnights you take on, the more you earn
  • 100% of your tips
  • Holiday pay
  • A flexible schedule that works around your life
  • A real path from part-time to full-time. We love growing our team from within

We're hiring part-time to start, with the goal of moving our best people into full-time as we grow. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. When you apply, tell us a little about why you want to work in pet care and what your weekly availability looks like.
