Job description

\#JOBALERT | CONTRACT | CERTIFIED FORKLIFT OPERATOR | NEW CONSTRUCTION | CLARKSVILLE, TN

A national general contractor is adding a certified forklift operator to a large data center project in Clarksville, TN. The seat runs a rough terrain forklift and an off-road telehandler, runs a skid steer, and keeps the cranes on site serviced and clean (greasing, fluid checks, track and deck cleanup).

  • $40.00/hour
  • 5+ months, anticipate 50-60 hours per week
  • Requires forklift certification and OSHA 10
  • Start date: 08.17.2026 — some flexibility past that date
  • Local to the Clarksville, TN area preferred

Overview

  • Move and stage material and equipment across an active data center construction site with a rough terrain forklift and an off-road telehandler
  • Run a skid steer for material handling and site cleanup as the work calls for it
  • Keep the cranes on site ready to work — grease and fluid checks, debris off the tracks, cab glass clean, decks and walkways clear
  • Stage loads where the crane crews need them ahead of the pick, not after it
  • Complete daily equipment checks and pull a machine out of service when it needs to come out
  • Work safely around active lifts — clear of the swing radius and the load path, taking direction from the operator and the signalperson
  • Stay on the job for the full run so the crews are not retraining a new hand mid-project

Required

  • Current forklift certification
  • Current OSHA 10
  • Hands-on time on a rough terrain forklift or an off-road telehandler
  • Skid steer experience
  • Able to work outdoors on an active construction site for the full 5+ month run
