Job description

Job Summary

Anakeesta is seeking a skilled, safety-conscious, and experienced Rope access and Rigging Supervisor to lead the maintenance and repair of the park’s adventure elements and equipment. This hands-on supervisory role supports the guest experience by ensuring all attractions operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.

The Adventure Maintenance Supervisor will oversee daily maintenance activities, provide direction and support to the maintenance team, manage scheduling and payroll approval, and assist with long-term project and maintenance planning. This position requires strong mechanical and technical skills, leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide direction to the Adventure Maintenance team to ensure attractions and equipment remain operational and well-maintained.
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on adventure attractions and equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines, company procedures, and safety standards in all maintenance activities.
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new adventure elements or equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, inspection reports, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Operations and Safety teams to address safety concerns, incidents, and equipment issues.
  • Monitor maintenance inventory, tools, and supplies and request replenishments as needed.
  • Respond promptly to guest or staff reports of equipment malfunctions or hazards.
  • Support emergency repairs and downtime mitigation to minimize guest impact.
  • Create and maintain team schedules to ensure proper staffing and maintenance coverage.
  • Review and approve payroll and timekeeping for the Adventure Maintenance team.
  • Assist with long-term project planning, maintenance planning, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Prioritize maintenance projects based on safety, operational needs, equipment condition, and guest impact.
  • Lead, coach, and train team members on maintenance procedures, safety practices, and equipment.
  • Maintain proficiency in required rescue systems and participate in rescue training and drills.
  • Must be willing and able to be trained on all applicable rescue systems and train other team members on those systems.
  • Ensure team members follow proper safety, maintenance, climbing, and rescue procedures.
  • Communicate maintenance priorities, project updates, equipment concerns, and staffing needs to management.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support park operations.

What You Need

  • Prior harness experience required.
  • Previous experience in maintenance, mechanical repair, adventure attractions, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools, basic electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficiently.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Ability to manage team scheduling and accurately review and approve payroll/timekeeping.
  • Ability to assist with long-term maintenance, project planning, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Must be willing and able to be trained on all applicable rescue systems and train others on those systems.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, bend, and work at heights if needed.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
