Commercial Roofing Foreman

Position Overview

Kato Roofing, Inc. is seeking experienced Commercial Roofing Foremen who take pride in quality craftsmanship, crew leadership, and project success.

This position provides direct field leadership for roofing crews while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial roofing crews on active job sites
  • Coordinate daily production goals and crew activities
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards and schedules
  • Train and mentor crew members
  • Maintain safe work practices and OSHA compliance
  • Communicate effectively with Superintendents and Project Managers
  • Manage jobsite materials, equipment, and workflow
  • Complete required reports and documentation

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial roofing experience (EPDM, TPO, BUR, PVC, or similar systems)
  • 2+ years of crew leadership experience
  • Proven ability to lead crews and drive production
  • Strong work ethic
  • Commitment to safety and quality
  • Reliable attendance and dependability
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • DOT Health Card, or ability to obtain one (company paid)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Ability to safely perform physical job duties

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, weekends only as needed
  • Hours may vary based on project schedules, weather conditions, and workload
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required
  • Year-round employment with no seasonal layoffs

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent ladder climbing and stair use
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical movements
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

Compensation

  • Starting Pay: $30+ per hour (DOE)
