Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians as directed across a high-volume, multi-specialty surgical environment averaging 15 cases per day across 5 active operating suites
  • Scrub in on surgical cases spanning orthopedics, neurosurgery, gynecology, urology, general surgery, vascular, ENT, robotic, and other specialty procedures
  • Operate within a block scheduling model coordinated with the department manager; shifts begin at 7:00 AM with variable lengths based on daily case needs
  • Participate in weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotation; call response time required within 30 minutes
  • Float between campuses as operationally required
  • Document and chart accurately using Cerner EMR
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license with RNFA certification or training
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Demonstrated experience in orthopedic surgery (total joints including knees, hips, and shoulders)
  • Robotic surgery experience required (considered a deal-breaker if not present)
  • Experience in neurosurgery and gynecology surgical cases
  • Ability and willingness to scrub in on surgical cases as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialties including urology, vascular, ENT, bariatrics, general surgery, and pediatric ENT
  • Experience with DaVinci robotic platform and robotic-assisted gynecologic or general surgery cases
  • Prior experience floating between multiple surgical campuses or facilities
  • Proficiency with Cerner EMR
