Job description

Our core competencies include systems engineering, program management, logistics, production support, aircraft maintenance, and aviation/aerospace services. The Welder I performs entry-level MIG and TIG welding tasks under direct supervision. This role is designed for individuals with less than three years of welding experience and focuses on developing technical skills, understanding basic quality and safety standards, and supporting production operations.
Essential Job Functions:
• Assist with setup, including aluminum cleaning, material preparation, and fixturing.
• Perform tack welding under supervision.
• Follow documented work instructions, safety protocols, and compliance standards (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, OSHA).
• Participate in internal safety and quality orientation programs.
• Load/unload parts, deburr, and take basic measurements as required.
• Use basic inspection tools under supervision to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to PPE requirements.
• Develop skills to advance toward higher welding levels and certifications.
Non-Essential Functions:
• Support other production areas as needed.
• Assist in general shop housekeeping and material handling.
• Perform other related duties to support manufacturing operations.
Schedule:
The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10 hour shifts, with the flexibility to work Friday, evenings and weekends as needed based on workload demands.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience
Required:
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to quality.
• Must be safety-focused and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Must be a U.S citizen.
Physical Requirements:
• Standing: More than 2/3 of the time
• Walking: 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
• Sitting: Less than 1/3 of the time
• Lifting: Up to 50 pounds (occasional)
• Crouching, stooping, reaching, or stretching: Less than 1/3 of the time
• Speaking and hearing: As needed for communication
• Visual acuity required for close work and inspection
Working Conditions
Work performed primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noise levels.
