Welder (Tig) - Welder/Fitter - Pipe Fitter - CONSTRUCTON

BION, inc. is a Northern Virginia commercial mechanical contractor specializing in healthcare construction.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a commercial mechanical setting working with HVAC and/or plumbing installation.
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications.
  • Hospital construction experience, preferred.
Job Specific Requirements
Welder (Tig)
  • 3-5 years’ experience welding stainless steel.
  • Proven ability to fit, weld and/or Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, fixtures, and equipment in a complete manner.
  • Must pass weld test to qualify.

Welder/Fitter
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Welder/Fitter
  • Proven ability to fit, weld and/or Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, fixtures, and equipment in a complete manner.
  • Must pass weld test to qualify.
Pipe Fitter
  • 3-5 years’ experience in commercial Pipefitting
  • Proven ability to solder and braze copper pipe from 1/4” to 6”
  • Proven ability to fit-up schedule 40 steel pipe 2” and above.
  • Proven ability to measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required angle, using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines.

  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the jobs including lifting and climbing.
