About WOIO:

WOIO and WUAB are the CBS and MyNetwork affiliates in Cleveland, Ohio. We produce more than 80 hours of news, weather, and sports content per week, along with 24/7 updates on all of our digital platforms.

Job Summary/Description:

WOIO-TV is looking for an experienced, energetic anchor to join our morning news team. This person will be responsible for creating and delivering content across two networks and all of our streaming platforms.

Must be able to deliver breaking, hard-news stories with clarity and empathy. The candidate will be required to help lead a morning news team committed to providing First Alert-focused content to the viewer. This person will also be part of our investigative and special projects teams.

Please note - primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the information listed above 

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Three years of anchoring/reporting in medium to large commercial television markets.
- Looking for a strong newsroom leader with the ability to work well with the rest of the team. Breaking news reporting skills are a must.
- Knowledge of AP style is important for contributing to our digital platforms.
- Degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent preferred.
