Their role involves planning, executing, and monitoring project progress, ensuring that objectives are met within deadlines and budgets. They communicate with team members, stakeholders, and clients primarily through digital tools, handling tasks, resolving issues, and maintaining project documentation. This position is ideal for those seeking flexible work schedules or supplemental weekend employment, and requires strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

To thrive as a Weekend Remote Project Manager, you need strong project management skills, experience with remote collaboration, and a relevant degree or certification such as PMP or Agile Scrum Master. Familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project, as well as communication platforms like Slack or Zoom, is essential. Exceptional time management, proactive communication, and problem-solving abilities help you excel in coordinating distributed teams outside standard business hours. These skills ensure that projects stay on track, stakeholders remain informed, and challenges are addressed efficiently despite the constraints of remote and weekend work.

Our core strength lies in executing accelerated, ground-up commercial construction projects for both public and private sector clients, with a primary emphasis on Department of Defense work.

We are currently seeking experienced Construction Project Managers (PMs) to join our West Coast Field Operations team, supporting military construction projects based in Monterey, California. In this role, Project Managers take full ownership of projects, guiding them through every phase-from initial concept and design development to final delivery, while upholding RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in commercial construction project management (or equivalent)
  • At least six years of progressive experience in the construction industry in roles such as Project Engineer and Assistant Project Manager, or similar positions
  • Experience working within a Design-Build environment is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and general internet use is required
  • Familiarity with industry tools such as Primavera P3/P6, Viewpoint, BIM, and Revit is preferred
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour certifications are required (training available if needed); STS certification is a plus
  • LEED Green Associate (GA) or Accredited Professional (AP/AP+) credentials are preferred

About the Company:

RQC, LLC is a full-service design and construction firm specializing in Design-Build delivery for both public and private sector clients, with a strong focus on Department of Defense projects.

We provide a wide range of services, including construction management, architectural design, trade services, virtual design and construction (VDC), and sustainable/LEED-focused project solutions. Our portfolio includes projects ranging from $30 million to over $300 million, completed across the United States - including California, Washington, Virginia, and North Carolina-as well as internationally at U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay and in Puerto Rico.

Our continued success is built on three core principles: Quality, Integrity, and Leadership. We foster a collaborative team environment that values innovation and is dedicated to exceeding client expectations. In return, we offer a dynamic workplace, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits program.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, creed, gender (including gender identity and gender expression), religion (all aspects of religious beliefs, observance or practice, including religious dress or grooming practices) marital status, registered domestic partner status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition (including cancer or a record or history of cancer, and genetic characteristics), sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding or related medical condition), genetic information, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other basis or status protected by federal, state, or local law or ordinance or regulation.

All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire. Additionally, all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).
