How does a weekend remote project manager typically collaborate with team members and stakeholders across different time zones?

As a Weekend Remote Project Manager, you'll often coordinate projects with team members and stakeholders who may be working on different schedules or in various time zones. Effective collaboration relies on clear communication, utilizing digital tools like project management platforms, and setting regular check-ins or updates to track progress. You may need to schedule meetings outside of typical business hours and ensure that documentation is thorough so everyone stays informed. Building strong relationships and being proactive in addressing potential bottlenecks are key to success in this remote and often asynchronous environment.

To thrive as a Weekend Remote Project Manager, you need strong project management skills, experience with remote collaboration, and a relevant degree or certification such as PMP or Agile Scrum Master. Exceptional time management, proactive communication, and problem-solving abilities help you excel in coordinating distributed teams outside standard business hours. These skills ensure that projects stay on track, stakeholders remain informed, and challenges are addressed efficiently despite the constraints of remote and weekend work.

Ready to make an impact?

If you are motivated by meaningful client work, technical problem-solving, and the opportunity to help organizations operate more safely and sustainably, we would be excited to hear from you. We welcome candidates who bring curiosity, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to EHS consulting.

Location: Northeast Region; Remote/hybrid opportunities considered

Travel: Approximately 50% travel in-region is anticipated for client engagement, site visits, and team collaboration.

What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran:
  • Lead EHS consulting projects from proposal through delivery, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.

  • Translate complex federal, state, and local regulatory requirements into practical strategies that support safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
  • Serve as a primary client contact, building trusted relationships and understanding each client’s business, risk profile, and operational goals.
  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and safety professionals.
  • Support business growth through client development, proposal preparation, staffing coordination, and identification of new consulting opportunities
What You Will Need To Succeed:
  • 8–12 years of professional experience in environmental, engineering, or EHS consulting, with project management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, occupational safety, or a related field; professional licensure or interest in obtaining a professional credential is a plus.
  • Program/project experience within RCRA, TSCA, TRI, Tier II, SPCC, and DOT hazardous materials recommended.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, schedules, and teams while maintaining effective client communication.
  • Experience interpreting environmental, health, and safety regulations and preparing compliance plans, audit reports, permit applications, training materials, and related deliverables.
  • Strong technical writing, verbal communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and the ability to model safety leadership for clients and project teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across large, multidisciplinary teams.
