Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team at New Mindset Progressive Mental Health Support Center. In this full-time remote role, you will provide therapy services to individuals, couples, and families, helping to foster emotional well-being and resilience among diverse populations in Jacksonville, Florida. The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, along with performance-based bonuses.

Work Environment

Some evening and weekend hours will be available to accommodate our clients' schedules, promoting accessibility to mental health support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to gain a deep understanding of each client's mental health needs, challenges, strengths, and available resources.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions through individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to the client's unique situation.
  • Implement therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-focused therapy, designed to facilitate healing and personal growth.
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that set clear goals and outline measurements for success in collaboration with clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure integrated and cohesive care for clients.
  • Lead group therapy sessions, psychoeducation classes, and support groups to create a broader therapeutic experience for clients in a comfortable environment.
  • Respond to crises by providing intervention, risk assessments, and safety plans as necessary, showing immediate support to clients in their times of need.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of therapy sessions to comply with ethical and legal standards, ensuring a clear record of clinical progress and treatment interventions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at New Mindset, you will work with a diverse demographic, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds, family units, and couples dealing with various emotional and mental health challenges. You will be instrumental in helping clients navigate life transitions, relationship difficulties, and personal traumas through personalized therapeutic care.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic methods and treatment approaches.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills to effectively connect with clients and understand their needs.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health or outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and a variety of mental health issues.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems that assist in maintaining clinical documentation.
