They must demonstrate proficiency in drafting wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, special needs trusts, dynasty trusts, related estate planning instruments, conducting legal research and advising clients on asset protection, tax implications, and occasional Medicaid planning. Strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive client matters with empathy and discretion are essential. The strongest candidates will show sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, financial advisors, CPAs, and internal staff while meeting firm performance expectations.
