• Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans that address their unique circumstances.
• Implement evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused strategies to promote student well-being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records, adhering to ethical standards and compliance regulations to ensure the integrity of the treatment process.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support system that fosters the mental health and academic success of students.
• Provide educational workshops and resources for students and their families, enhancing their understanding of mental health and available supports.
• Stay informed of the latest research and developments in mental health and social work practices to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.

In this role, you will work primarily with school-aged children and adolescents experiencing a range of issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges. Understanding the unique pressures students face in academic environments, you will adapt your approach to meet the specific needs of each individual, ensuring that support is relevant and effective.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of Virginia.
• At least two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, ideally with school-aged populations.
• Certification in solution-focused or other relevant therapeutic modalities is preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess client needs and develop appropriate interventions.

Experience working in educational settings, particularly with students from varied socioeconomic backgrounds, is an asset.
