Weekend Receptionist (PT) - Kate's Place

As a Receptionist, you will serve as a professional point of contact for staff, residents, contractors, and guests while ensuring tenant safety by monitoring building access. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Location: Kate's Place-1929 Sansom St. Phila, PA 19103
  • Schedule: Part Time - Saturday and Sunday (7AM - 3PM) or (3PM - 11PM)
  • Pay Rate: $18.15 per hour
What You Will Do
  • Maintain a constant presence at the front desk, granting access only to authorized staff, residents, guests, and delivery personnel while ensuring all guests sign the visitor log and present photo ID.
  • Establish and maintain healthy, respectful relationships with residents, guests, and community members
  • Conduct hourly rounds to monitor unusual activity, check the security of exterior doors and windows, and use security cameras for surveillance.
  • Answer incoming calls, take accurate messages, and assist with clerical tasks such as typing, filing, copying, and managing deliveries.
  • Facilitate room setups for community space meetings
  • Document shift summaries and share during shift change.
  • Address urgent and crisis situations using de-escalation strategies and follow emergency procedures for incidents such as floods and fires.
  • As applicable, act as dispatch and point of contact for outreach, including completing response forms making referrals, and completing documentation.
  • Attend meetings and trainings, including supervision, staff meetings, community meetings, linkage meetings, and court appearances, if necessary.
