Are you a passionate and skilled groomer looking to make a difference in the lives of pets? Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital and Resort, located in Garner, NC, is seeking a dedicated and friendly professional groomer to join our vibrant team.

At our state-of-the-art facility, we prioritize creating a nurturing and fun environment for employees, clients, and animals alike. In our Grooming Salon, you will have the unique opportunity to build personal relationships with clients while delivering exceptional grooming services that exceed their expectations. Additionally, you will be equipped to offer veterinary insights whenever you notice a pet in need of extra medical care.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform grooming services, including brushing, clipping, hand scissoring, trimming, bathing, and ear cleaning.
  • Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, recommending appropriate grooming techniques while monitoring for any signs of health issues.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, addressing pet owners' concerns and ensuring they feel comfortable leaving their pets in our care.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests and preferences.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of pets throughout the grooming process.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming area and equipment.
  • Exhibit knowledge of grooming products and medications, including dietary products.
  • Conduct yourself with professionalism, even in high-pressure situations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Professional pet grooming experience with proficiency in various grooming techniques (grooming cats is a plus!).
  • Strong attention to detail for precision in grooming tasks and adherence to client requests.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners.
  • Experience caring for animals and knowledge of pet behavior, handling, and restraint techniques (or a willingness to learn).
  • Ability to multitask and navigate veterinary software in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavier pets as needed.
  • Weekend availability is preferred.
  • Availability from 7 AM to 6 PM.

Educational Requirements:

  • Professional grooming certification.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
