We're looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Workers. Position Summary

As a Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Worker, you'll help maintain the appearance and safety of our grounds through a variety of landscaping and maintenance tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy physical work, working as part of a team, and spending their days outdoors.

This position performs a wide range of landscape maintenance duties and other related responsibilities as assigned.

What You'll Do

  • Mow, trim, and edge lawns using power mowers and edgers.
  • Plant, water, fertilize, and maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and flower beds.
  • Mulch, aerate, weed, rake, and remove thatch to keep landscapes healthy and attractive.
  • Collect and remove litter to maintain clean grounds.
  • Operate landscaping equipment, including mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
  • Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, brush trimmers, and axes.
  • Assist with irrigation systems and adjust watering practices to promote healthy landscapes while conserving water.
  • Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, and apply salt when necessary.
  • Perform other grounds maintenance and landscaping duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Some experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid New Mexico driver's license.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background investigation.
  • Native American preference will be given in accordance with applicable policies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of landscaping practices, including plants, grasses, and trees.
  • Experience safely operating landscaping equipment and power tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with coworkers and the public.
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and the use of hands to operate tools and equipment. Employees must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds and perform physically demanding outdoor work throughout the day.

Work Environment

This is an outdoor position that involves working in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold. Evening, weekend, and seasonal snow removal work may be required. Employees may also be required to operate company vehicles as part of their duties.
