Provide excellent customer service when present on the sales floor, by delivering prompt, friendly and helpful service.
Share information with our shoppers about co-op happenings, educational opportunities, and the benefits of co-op ownership.
Provide excellent internal customer service to all staff members, maintaining an attitude of goodwill toward self and others.
Help to create a work environment that is cooperative, respectful, fun, productive, and safe, and that focuses on solutions.

JOB SUMMARY: The Grocery clerk is responsible for aiding the Assistant Center Store Managers with successfully completing the objectives of the department as outlined by the Grocery Manager. Ensuring that freight is processed, stocked and merchandised in a timely manner, while providing outstanding customer engagement.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Greeting and providing exceptional customer service to all customers within department
Receive, process and stock inventory within grocery departments, to include bins, shelves and coolers.
Ensuring proper merchandising standards of the sales floor to ensure delivery of an attractive, well-organized shopping experience for customers.
Maintain department cleanliness, of sales floor and department warehouse areas.
Assist Buyers, Grocery Manager, and Store Manager in creation of attractive displays and seasonal merchandising changes.
Ensure pricing accuracy of all department merchandise.
Maintain organized and clearly labeled overstock according to co-op standards.
Perform product rotation for freshness, using the "first in/first" out process and regular checking of expiration dates.
Notify department managers of damaged or malfunctioning equipment and unsellable merchandise and disposing of product according to The Dill Pickle Co-op policy.
Ensure back stock is stored and labeled in an organized manner for easy access and rotation.
Clean display cases, refrigerator glass and interiors, shelves and aisles.
Assist with quarterly inventory count.
Required training on front end procedures
Perform other functions at request of the Grocery Manager and/or Assistant Center Store Manager.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Experience preferred but not required.
Nights and weekend availability required
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
Ability to reason and apply logic for resolve of common workplace issues.
Able to pass a criminal local/state/federal background screening.
Eligible to work within the USA.
Excellent customer service skills.
Communication skills - good listener, asks questions.
Ability to stand, bend, reach and lift repeatedly for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in adverse Grocery temperatures.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Ability to work with cleaning supplies and chemicals with appropriate protective gear.
Ability to multi-task and remain flexible to changing needs of business.
