Job description

Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Syracuse, New York
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00-15:00), Monday-Friday with on-call requirements
Job Responsibilities and Required and Preferred Skills and Requirements
Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiographic and interventional imaging procedures under radiologist direction.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain exams, and ensure correct positioning for optimal imaging.
  • Operate radiologic and interventional imaging equipment efficiently to obtain high-quality studies.
  • Maintain radiation safety standards to minimize patient exposure.
  • Document imaging procedures and patient data in radiology information systems.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and report malfunctions promptly.
  • Follow departmental protocols, policies, and procedural guidelines.
  • Support procedural workflow and collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
  • Valid state radiologic technologist license/registration.
  • Minimum 1 year of CT or MRI experience as a radiologic technologist.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices.
  • Ability to operate imaging systems and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Must meet pre-employment health clearance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience.
  • Experience assisting with image-guided procedures.
  • Familiarity with radiology information systems and procedural workflows.
  • Strong patient communication and procedural support skills.
