Description:

Summary: Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides client specific clerical, administrative, and legal support. Use judgment while planning and organizing tasks to ensure established priorities are met for assigned attorney and client team. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

  • Provide client team support, which includes a range      of clerical and administrative duties such as the preparation of      intricate and detailed correspondence. 
  • Help prepare and file patent applications, download      routine prior art, and assist with docketing and completing formalities      for patent prosecution.
  • Uses various applications, including MS Office      applications, various online applications, and the firm document      management system. 
  • Following detailed instructions, input specific      information on correspondence templates to generate form letters      and agreements. 
  • Maintain specific filing process and update database      to track each step in the process. 
  • Assist with legal support tasks as      assigned.  
  • Assist with additional projects and tasks, as      needed. 
  • Will be trained on procedures and essential      duties. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft      Office Word, Excel, and use of email, and the ability to      effectively learn to use various applications      and databases, such as Outlook and the firm’s document      management system.  
  • Ability to effectively work independently and apply      strong analytical abilities, while effectively      navigating specific processes. 
  • Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail,      independently troubleshoot, professionally interact with      others, and exceptional customer service skills.  
  • Exceptional oral and written communication      skills. 
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment, effectively      prioritize tasks. 
  • Ability to perform efficiently, maintain      high quality and quantity of work, and adapt to      changes effectively. 
  • Consistently maintain good      attendance, reliability, and ability to work overtime, if      needed. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Some college, related education, or related training      beyond a High School Diploma 
  • At least two years of related experience
