How much do weekend professor project management jobs pay per year?
What is the difference between Weekend Professor Project Management vs Part-Time Project Coordinator?
| Aspect | Weekend Professor Project Management | Part-Time Project Coordinator |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Typically requires a master's or higher in project management or related field, with teaching experience | Requires relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP) and experience in coordinating projects |
| Work Environment | Academic settings, universities, online or on-campus classes | Corporate or organizational settings, managing ongoing projects |
| Employer & Industry | Educational institutions, academia | Businesses, non-profits, government agencies |
| Search & Comparison Intent | Understanding academic roles in project management | Exploring practical, industry-based project coordination roles |
While both roles involve project management skills, a Weekend Professor Project Management primarily focuses on teaching and academic responsibilities, often requiring advanced degrees and teaching credentials. In contrast, a Part-Time Project Coordinator is more hands-on, managing real-world projects within organizations, requiring relevant certifications and practical experience.

-Various technology platforms: faculty annual reporting, tenure delay requests, sabbatical requests, workflow (APT, AEP, other)
-Facilitating and coordinating with University offices (e.g., the Office of Civil Rights and Sexual Misconduct, the Office of General Counsel, the Office Of Research Integrity, and the Division of Research) to ensure faculty compliance with relevant policies and procedures
-Assisting and facilitating the University's anticipated faculty collective bargaining efforts
The Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs also helps to design, interpret, and implement policies and programs related to the faculty; and provides information, data, and research on faculty resources and issues.
