Overview:
This role represents the opportunity to take on an important leadership position with a growing high tech industrial engineering and manufacturing company. Automation Hydraulics designs and manufacturers innovative hydraulic equipment and machinery. We utilize the latest technology and our own proprietary controls and sensors to rapidly deliver unique and affordable solutions for transportation, aerospace, and agriculture industries.
Job role:
This position will have a high level of autonomy and responsibility. As a production manager, you'll be responsible for establishing production processes and setting up work areas. You will also be responsible for the coordination and control of all manufacturing processes. You'll make sure goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality.
The goal is to ensure the manufacturing process that meets customer requirements and delivers exceptional quality product on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule;
  • Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
  • Estimate costs and set the quality standards;
  • Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
  • Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
  • Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
  • Ensure output meets quality standards
  • Enforce health and safety precautions
  • Identify training needs.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of workers;
  • Report to upper management

Requirements:
  • Planning and organisation skills to be able run and monitor the production process;
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality;
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
  • Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics
  • Leadership experience at a professional manufacturing company
  • Machine shop experience
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
  • BSc/Ba in business administration or relevant field is preferred
