HYDAC's passionate team designs and manufactures a comprehensive line of innovative and reliable solutions optimized any demand our customers require.
The Tester is responsible for operating all Test Stands associated with their applicable Department. First shift schedule is Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Testers will be responsible for the Test Stand set-up and all Assembly knowledge including:
  • Selection and set-up of specific test block.
  • Selection and set-up of specific test procedures.
  • Verification of the test block, test program to the item being tested.
  • Ability to install fittings.
  • Testers will be required to identify non-conforming assembly errors prior and during product testing.
  • Ability to check oil level and oil temperature prior to shift.
  • Perform routine checks and basic preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Ability to tag and document non-conforming material.
  • Support Department 5S Initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate Test Bench concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to interpret work center schedule through use of SAP Systems.
  • Ability to run equipment at designed rate, maximum efficiency, trouble shoot problems and reduce Test Stand downtime.
  • Ability to communicate Test Bench concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Complete daily/weekly production reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Lead.

Requirements
Skills and Attributes
  • Communicate in English through both verbal and written means to exchange accurate information and understand the information presented.
  • Perform basic problem solving tasks which include to identify the problem & communicate verbally & in writing what is the problem and the events prior to the problem.
  • Perform basic math to include counting, simple arithmetic with whole numbers or decimals, interpreting simple numerical information such as ranges & understanding of basic units of measure including the metric system.
  • Be a team player who is dependable, cooperative, adaptive & engaging.
  • Frequently move parts weighting up to 40 pounds between locations ranging from floor level to a height of 4.5 feet.
  • Must be able to clearly read testing gauges, drawings and work instructions.

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or GED required.

Safety and Personal Protective Equipment
  • Must adhere to all safety rules in force for the location you are in while performing your job responsibilities. This includes at a customer or supplier location.
  • Must meet requirements for PPE in specific manufacturing areas when you are in those areas including safety shoes and safety glasses.
