PRN RN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN RN to join our team at TruHeart Home Health - Bartlesville / Okmulgee area. As a PRN RN, you will provide prescribed nursing care services to patients in their homes, following a Plan of Care (POC) according to their needs. With our mission to redefine home health care, you will play a vital role in delivering unparalleled care that reflects our values of compassion, expertise, and dedication.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical examinations and assessments of patients, including vital signs, physical status, mental status, and diet

  • Develop and implement written Plans of Care with patients following physician's orders and according to agency guidelines

  • Perform and document nursing interventions, including patient education, according to the Plan of Care

  • Demonstrate knowledge and competency in performing baseline nursing skills, including wound care, lab draws, IVs, and more

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

  • Document patient status accurately and concisely

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing services and identify areas for improvement

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conform to all applicable Agency policies and procedures

  • Perform related duties as assigned or requested

  • Continuously strive to improve nursing care through in-service education, formal education, and individual research

  • Assume accountability for reporting incidents and complaints according to Agency policy

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • One or more years of experience in home health or hospital setting

  • Competency assessments must be completed

  • Current Oklahoma RN license, CPR, driver's license, and auto insurance

  • Ability to interact with a computer and iPad for charting and documentation

Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise level

  • Inherent potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens

  • Moderate stress and emotional demands

  • Ability to work in a variety of environments, including homes with varying conditions

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting (3-6 hours daily)

  • Standing (occasionally 3 hours or less daily)

  • Walking (occasionally 3 hours or less daily)

  • Twisting, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and climbing (occasionally 3 hours or less daily)

  • Wrist deviation (side to side) and hand/wrist repetitions (up and down) (occasionally 3 hours or less daily)
