Job description


The Maintenance Operator performs industrial electrical maintenance engineering functions and repairs for plant equipment.
Main Responsibilities
  • Follow all maintenance JSA's, and SSAB's safety policies
  • Maintain and troubleshoot medium and low voltage control systems and power distribution
  • Perform Lockout / Tagout of equipment
  • Maintain plant building services, overhead lighting, heat trace circuits, 120/208V and 480V electrical distribution
  • Maintain and install equipment in 480 Volt 3 phase power distribution systems
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance on area equipment

About You
Required
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year industrial electrical maintenance experience
  • PLC programming and trouble shooting skills
  • Allen Bradley PLC5 and Control Logix 5000 experience
  • AC and DC Digital Drive experience
  • Industrial electricity experience
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics

Preferred
  • Associates degree
  • 2+ years industrial electrical maintenance experience
