Description
Summary
Provide assistance to multiple departments within the Plant; operate machinery and equipment necessary in the production of ethanol and co-products, including the loading and unloading of these products, safely and as specified. Provide back up to departments.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Respond to and complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
  2. Responsible for grounds maintenance including shoveling, trash pick-up, etc.
  3. Responsible for inspecting all required equipment and completion of all related records.
  4. Maintain the cleanliness of the plant on a scheduled basis.
  5. Regularly utilize power washers, shovels, brooms, and other cleaning equipment.
  6. Keep current on the status of all operating equipment in your section.
  7. Maintain equipment by checking fluid levels, greasing, lubricating and re-fueling.
  8. Properly document any accidents and/or injuries.
  9. Assist in keeping the plant in a "Tour Ready" condition at all times.
  10. Complete all duties in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
  11. Assist all departments with loading, un loading and general duties
  12. Other duties as may be assigned to accomplish the safe and timely day-to-day operations within the plant.
  13. Wear personal protective equipment as required.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work well with others and independently
  • Exemplify the high standards necessary to accomplish the goals of the Company
  • Valid driver's license required

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical trade certifications are assets.
  • Experience with machinery, industrial environment, grain elevator or agricultural settings a plus.
  • Experience with the operation of forklift trucks, skid loaders, pallet jacks, and related material handling equipment a plus

Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to work in outside conditions and adverse weather.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 250'

Working Environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to dusty conditions.

  • The employee may be regularly exposed to chemicals used in the process. (including dry industrial penicillin)
