Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled PLC Technician to join a well-known manufacturing located in Belen NM. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in troubleshooting upgrade existing equipment along with design and implementation. Hands on installation of production equipment and hardware design. The PLC Technician reports to the Technical Services Manager and will work closely with other technicians and engineers to support their operations and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Troubleshoot and upgrade existing equipment to new equipment design & Implementation.
• Perform hands-on installation support for new or modified production equipment.
• Implement machine control knowledge and understand classical control theory.
• Responsible to operate Fluke Meters and other electronic test equipment.
• Elaborate electrical schematic drawings using AutoCad and Autocad electrical
• SCADA developing knowledge: Ignition Python and Labview
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Travel: up to 10% domestic/global travel may be required annually.
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required with bachelor's degree in mechanical electrical or industrial engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience with direct PLC programming required
• PLC Programming experience required.
• HMI development with RSview32 FT view & C-more panels.
• Hardware design experience with PCL/VFD wiring diagrams.
• Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix & Micrologix.
• Experience with Koyo PLC programming.
• Industrial network protocols knowledge with Ethernet I/P DeviseNET Modbus RTU Modbus TCP.
• Motion control Knowledge with servo stepper DC AC drives.
• Serial communication knowledge with RS232 / 485.
