Job description

Core Dermatology is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position that will be on-site.
Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Nurse Manager, Medical Assistants will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting medical professionals in various aspects of patient management, procedure assistance, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepares patient for physical examination.
  • Assists provider(s) in physical examination.
  • Takes patient histories and documentation, obtaining all pertinent information related to the patient’s visit and previous medical history and drug allergies.
  • Sets up exam rooms daily for appropriate medical and surgical procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining a well-organized patient flow through hallway exam rooms.
  • Performs appropriate laboratory tests (including specimen collections, preparation of lab requisition forms, logging, etc.)
  • Assists with biopsy procedures.
  • Reports all lab findings to the physician(s).
Requirements:
  • Graduation from Medical Assistant Program; CMA certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals.

Salary Information:
This is a Non-Exempt position. Pay will be based on years of experience and certification date. The budgeted hourly pay range is $20.00-$26.79.
