RN Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be customer oriented and committed to customer service
  • Have proper assessment skill to detect changes in resident condition
  • Required to perform medication passes in accordance with state regulations for a residential care facility
  • Oversee and direct STNAs and CNAs within the realm of their job description
  • RNs represent nursing as a team player to other departments throughout the facility
  • Communicate any changes in condition of a resident to the doctor, family and Director of Nursing
  • Assist with hands on care when required or requested by other personnel or a resident
  • Work toward maintaining each residents self-respect, personal dignity and safety
  • Encourage residents to exercise their resident rights
  • Understand the facility must be staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including weekends and holidays
  • Understand the you will be on call at time for the Director of Nursing
  • All other duties as assigned

RN Required license or certification:

  • RN must have Nursing Degree from an accredited program or college/university
  • A current, unencumbered, active Ohio RN license
  • Current CPR
  • Experience with PointClick Care preferred, but not required
  • At least one year experience in Elderly Care preferred.
