Golf Course Maintenance Worker
Job Summary
The Grounds Worker helps maintain the golf course and club grounds to provide an exceptional experience for members and guests. This position performs daily landscape and golf course maintenance, including mowing, trimming, irrigation, bunker maintenance, and general upkeep. Grounds Workers work as part of a team to ensure the course is safe, attractive, and in excellent playing condition while following all safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality work, and is dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
This position is seasonal with an expected final employment date of 10/22/2026
$20 per hour, depending on experience

Education and/or Experience
• Some High School.
• Six months of experience in golf course grounds maintenance or landscaping.
• Reliably attend work. This job requires early mornings, but you're done by 2:30 pm. Some weekend work is required.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies, and Expectations
• Knowledge of golf course operations.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required roles in emergencies.
Job Tasks/Duties
• Plants and maintains ornamental shrubs and trees.
• Trims and feeds shrubs and trees; removes cuttings.
• Maintains landscape beds around the clubhouse and club grounds.
• Rakes and blows leaves.
• Mows greens and fairways by operating walk-behind turf equipment.
• Prepares and lays sod.
• Prepares soil plant beds, and establishes plantings by seed or transplants.
• Maintains annual and perennial flowers in aesthetic arrangements.
• Rakes bunkers.
• Loads and unloads materials.
• Repairs and maintains driving range tees.
• Cleans equipment used in the practice area.
• Aerifies and spikes greens.
• Dig holes and trenches to maintain or construct irrigation and drainage lines.
• Install pipe and backfill excavations.
• Empties garbage cans.
• Attends staff meetings.
• Other tasks assigned
Licenses and Special Requirements
• Valid driver's license.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Capable of walking up to 3 miles during a single shift
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
• Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
• May need to use some protective equipment, such as a respirator, gloves, earplugs, eye guards/visors, boots, and hat.
