Job Overview:
Pay Range: $22hr - $27.20hr
- The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
Requirement/Must Have:
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Committed to all Policies & Procedures including dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and guiding principles.
- Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
- Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations with minimal notice.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Must demonstrate superior customer focus and ability to communicate openly and transparently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Qualification And Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in certain states.
- 1-3 years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
