Job Overview:
 
Pay Range: $20hr - $25hr
  • The Phlebotomist II will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providing high-quality specimen collection services while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Candidates will collect blood specimens, prepare samples for laboratory testing, verify patient information, and ensure compliance with established procedures and safety standards.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Excellent phlebotomy and specimen collection skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations when required.
  • Ability to work weekends, overtime, and flexible schedules as needed.
Experience:
  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
  • Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Experience with specimen processing and documentation.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established procedures.
  • Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Verify patient demographic information and specimen labeling accuracy.
  • Obtain patient signatures to confirm specimen labeling procedures.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
