Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for over 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for over 50 consecutive years.
What you will be doing
Prepare and execute high-quality food production for banquet events, weddings, meetings, and special functions while maintaining The Pfister Hotel's exceptional culinary standards.
Follow recipes, production sheets, and chef instructions to ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control for large-scale events.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with food safety, health, and company standards.
Collaborate with culinary and banquet teams to ensure timely preparation, setup, and service, supporting seamless event execution and an outstanding guest experience.
Assist with inventory management, product rotation, and proper storage of food and supplies while demonstrating flexibility in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Position Requirements
Minimum of 1-2 years of cooking experience in a hotel, banquet, restaurant, catering, or high-volume food service environment preferred.
Understanding of food handling, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines, with the ability to maintain safe and compliant kitchen practices.
Capable of preparing and plating large volumes of food efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events while collaborating effectively with culinary, banquet, and stewarding teams.
