Job description

Guest Services Associate

The Pozez Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia (Pozez JCC) requires the talents and skills of an experienced Guest Services Associate. The successful candidate should be outgoing and friendly with a gregarious personality and a natural talent for customer service while also being very professional and disciplined. This person will undertake all receptionist and clerical duties at the desk of our main entrance. The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while on our premises.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants should have a high school degree and two or more years of successful experience working in customer service, reception, front desk, or other public facing concierge positions
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer literacy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Essential Position Duties:

  • Greet and acknowledge members, guests, and visitors to the Pozez JCC
  • Create a positive and memorable experience for all who come to the Pozez JCC
  • Courteously answer telephone calls and guest inquiries, and direct them appropriately
  • Maintain office supply inventory for front desk
  • Keep a clean and neat work environment
  • Assist new members in completing initial forms
  • Assist current members and guests with any inquiries, paperwork, or basic membership information
  • Ensure security processes are administered for all those who enter the building
  • Administer membership card ID process
  • Work with all departments to ensure programmatic information is shared correctly
  • Print daily schedule nightly and for the weekend
  • Perform tasks requested by management staff when able
