Job description

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.

Shift Schedule Friday - Sunday 6:00AM - 6:30PM, 36 hours, paid for 40.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as required.
  • Apply primers, paints, and coatings to aircraft surfaces using spray guns, brushes, and other tools.
  • Ensure the proper mixing and application of paint materials to achieve desired finish and durability.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for quality and make necessary touch-ups or corrections.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of paint usage and inventory.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in painting or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a painter, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of various paint types, application techniques, and surface preparation methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
