Job description

Description:

 This position works closely with the Supervisor in a team environment with employees; providing training, support, and assistance to employees, for the purpose of helping employees and the shift to meet quality, SAFETY, production goals, and standards. This leadership position is technical in nature and responsible for the overall output and quality of all production lines. The successful packer will consistently perform duties in a SAFE and professional manner, meet production goals and standards, forestall safety hazards, diligently train shift Operators and other employees, and provide shift 3-month average run efficiencies of 90% or greater.  

Requirements:

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the duties which the employee may be expected to perform. To perform this job successfully, an individual is expected to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

1. Work is surely a priority. 

2. Work in a team environment that supports members to achieve team goals in a production, quality, and safety.

3. Comply with all quality and safety standards and procedures.

4. Read and understand daily the specifications that the order asks for.

5. Locate and read the order.

6. Read and locate the number of pieces you carry per box.

7. Physically locate bags and boxes.

8. Know the product you will be working with.

9. Packers inspect produce for compliance with visual specifications. Packers must be aware of visual requirements, which include:

  1. Web (material esqueleto sobrante)
  2. Hole (hoyos)
  3. Off trim (piesa mal cortada no centrada)
  4. Thin spots (areas delgadas)
  5. Thin wall (paredes delgadas)

10. Packers do Not compress the parts when placing them in the box. 

11. Count or measure correctly the lines indicated in the order. The boxes must have the correct amount.

12. Pack the plastic for food that meets the specifications documented in the order and based on a good quality.

13. Communicate with other employees to share information about the condition of the machine. 

14. Make boxes for packaging and move them to the tape machine, but not before putting your stamp.

15. Repack the product as necessary. 

16. Notify the operator, supervisor, or quality control of any type of problems with either the machine or poor-quality product.

17. Keep your work area clean and tidy, organize work area sweet the floor when needed.

18. Correctly complete the documentation of production and activities.

19. Contact your supervisor when your machine is down for a long time or if the order is over.

20. Relieve other employees for break or lunches.
