We blend the best of materials, workmanship, and over 100 years of expertise (we’ve been in business since 1910!) to provide customers with custom fencing solutions.    With our stellar reputation, it’s no surprise that we’re busier than ever. Now, we’re looking to add new field installers to our team, from all levels of experience. Could this be you?   Field Installers and Welder   We’re looking to fill two types of roles: Installers and Welders.   Installer:  As an installer, your main goal is to work as part of a field crew that erects fence systems and installs gates. You’ll use hand and power tools (hammers, wrenches, drills, saws, etc.) and equipment (skid steers and attachments, aerial work platforms, hoists, cranes etc.) as you work on every phase of each project.   As the heart of our installation crew, we’ll count on you to ensure our projects are done with the highest quality in mind. You take pride in your work, so high quality is second nature to you.   Welder: You will be responsible for the construction, fabrication and installation of gates fence structures, accessories. This will require working both in the shop and in the field. You will also be involved in the erection of fences when required and work with other field crews to accomplish a variety of tasks.       The Right Fit   You’ll be well prepared to join our field installation team if you’ve had experience working in the trades, construction, in a fabrication or welding shop, on a farm, or as an equipment operator. You’re comfortable working with tools and equipment, and have experience working outdoors or at heights.   If you’re looking for a foreman role, ideally you’ll come to us with experience leading teams or crews on construction sites, and experience coordinating labour, tools, and materials.   No matter what level of experience you have, you have these qualities:   * You’re a proactive problem solver – when you encounter unexpected circumstances on site, you find creative solutions independently.  * You take initiative – you’re always trying to develop your skills. When you have a question, you ask, and you’re always on the lookout for learning opportunities. * You take ownership of your work –you leave every job well done, clean, and complete. Our work is interesting and different every day.   The Details   We’re hiring for full-time, Temporary  positions. You’ll work 8-hour days (with high chance of overtime) Monday to Friday and occasional weekends. Work locations can vary and it may be necessary to meat at the work site or occasional at the the shop in Nisku.      If you join us as an installer, you’ll be paid between $18 and $24 per hour, depending on your experience. And as a Welder, you’ll earn between $26-$29 per hour (or more, if you have significant experience).    Qualifications   * Experience in: trades (carpentry, welding, electrical), construction, fabrication/manufacturing, equipment operation * Experience working outdoors in all seasons * Experience working at heights * Experience working with tools (hand, power) and heavy equipment * Welding experience 3 years or more FCAW and SMAW (Welder position) * Valid elevated work platforms, harness training, and CSTS * Valid driver’s license and clean driving record * Reliable transportation and Cell Phone.   How to Apply   Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
