Village Dental is seeking a friendly and dependable Dental Assistant to join our team in Orrville, Ohio. Dental assistant

Job Description

Chairside Assisting: Assist dentists clinically during routine exams, restorative procedures, and dental surgeries.
Sterilization: Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories, ensuring strict adherence to infection control and autoclaving protocols.
Diagnostics: Capture high-quality digital X-rays and medical images for patient care.
Patient Records: Maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR), including patient charting and tracking health history.
Patient Education: Provide clear post-operative instructions, counsel patients on oral hygiene, and answer questions regarding treatment.
Team Support: collaborative teamwork is essential; you will also support front office administrative tasks and assist colleagues as needed.

Salary Range

Part-time $18 - $24 per hour

Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Required)
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Friday - Sunday: Closed

Requirements

Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or medical setting is required.
Availability: Must be available to work on Tuesdays.
Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Soft Skills: Must be dependable, friendly, and team-oriented.

Preferences

Dental Experience: 1-2 years of previous Dental Assistant experience is strongly preferred.
Licensure: Ohio Dental Assistant certification (Radiography) is a plus.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with dental software and specific dental sterilization procedures.
