THE ROLE
The Toledo Complex includes both the Huntington Center and the Glass City Center, and this role provides operational support across both locations. The Suites Runner position provides exceptional guest service while working collectively and cooperatively in the Catering Department, specifically in the Suites environment; and ensures that items needed in the suites are obtained and delivered in a timely manner before and during events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with the set-up of events by delivering orders in a timely and courteous manner
  • Deliver product as directed during events
  • Completes opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Have a strong knowledge of the building and pertinent event location.
  • Must be knowledgeable of food, beverage and menu items.
  • Adhere to all Legends Uniform and Grooming guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Elevated time management, organizational, and prioritizing skills
  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced, team orientated setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of state and local health requirements related to food handling and alcohol service.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and move items up and down stairs and ramps.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to perform assigned tasks including reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to remain professional and guest-focused in high-volume event environments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates throughout the Toledo Complex, including warehouse, dock, storage, kitchen, concessions, and event spaces. Team members may work indoors and outdoors depending on event needs. The role may require exposure to varying temperatures, including coolers, freezers, outdoor weather conditions, and high-volume event environments.
SAFETY EXPECTATIONS
All team members are expected to practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and complete company-wide and job-specific safety training.
Team members must:
  • Operate equipment only when properly trained and authorized.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Clean spills and hazards promptly.
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Report all workplace injuries and illnesses in the company's risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day the incident is reported.
