Job description

The Texas State Aquarium provides high quality, entertaining programming through education, conservation, and wildlife rehabilitation. We strive to provide our guests with an exciting, educational, and memorable experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limed to:
  • Perform underwater exhibit maintenance in accordance with established safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Clean and maintain back-of-house areas to support a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Fill scuba cylinders following approved procedures and applicable safety requirements.
  • Tend dives and provide surface support to ensure diver safety and effective communication during underwater operations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of dive safety protocols, emergency procedures, and proper use of dive-related equipment.

Requirements
Any equivalent combination of education and experience to be able to perform the essential functions of the job would meet the education and experience criteria.
Open Water Dive certification required at minimum
First Aid/CPR/AED certification
Administering Emergency Oxygen certification
