Description:
This position is for a critical care nurse who is highly motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The nurse will provide care to some of the most critically ill patients.
The unit frequently receives patients who require specialized care from various regions.
Patients served have a variety of diagnoses, primarily focusing on cardiothoracic surgery and neuro conditions.
During the pandemic, the team has been involved in providing ICU-level care, including for patients needing ECMO.
The unit capacity is 15 beds, with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.
The population served includes adolescents through late adults.
Direct patient care staff consists of registered nurses and patient care technicians.
