They are responsible for performing cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, emptying trash, and sanitizing bathrooms in residential or commercial properties. Employers often hire Weekend Only Cleaners to maintain cleanliness during times when weekday staff are unavailable or to address increased cleaning needs on weekends. They usually work independently or as part of a small team and may need to communicate with supervisors to report issues or replenish inventory. Adaptability and attention to detail are key to meeting the high standards expected during these shifts.

Familiarity with cleaning equipment, supplies, and sometimes health and safety certifications like COSHH is beneficial. Strong time management, communication, and the ability to work independently are valuable soft skills in this role. These skills ensure thorough, efficient cleaning and contribute to a safe, hygienic environment for clients or organizations.
