This position allows for a hybrid work environment, primarily functioning in a remote setting while having access to onsite support when required. Our Outpatient Office located in Hempstead serves as a central hub for therapist collaboration, training, and client meetings. • Build trusting relationships with clients, creating a safe environment conducive to open dialogue and healing.
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health disorders, working alongside clients to develop clear, achievable treatment goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each client, adjusting them as necessary based on client progress.
• Provide regular therapy sessions through various formats including individual, group, and family counseling, focusing on interventions that encourage healthy behavioral changes.
• Monitor ongoing client progress with detailed documentation, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate comprehensive case management.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals, to ensure an integrated approach to client care.

You will work with a diverse clientele facing varying mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma-related conditions, and more. Your role will be essential in providing tailored support to ensure clients feel heard and understood. We are particularly focused on empowering families and couples to navigate their challenges collaboratively, promoting a holistic view of mental health.

• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in providing therapeutic services, particularly in family and group settings.
• Strong organizational skills and proficient time-management abilities to meet clinical and administrative responsibilities effectively.

• Experience in teletherapy or remote counseling services is a strong advantage, given the flexible nature of this position.
• Familiarity with contemporary therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, or narrative therapy enhances your ability to connect with clients.
