Job Summary
The Ramp Service Clerk is responsible for handling cargo, and aircraft servicing tasks, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to company policies. Duties vary by assignment and qualifications.
This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
Pay Rate: $20.35
Responsibilities
  • Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure.
  • Load and unload baggage and cargo compartments.
  • Clean interior and exterior of aircraft.
  • Supply cabin services and stock aircraft provisions.
  • Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of ramp and work areas.
  • Handle serviceing and cleaning of powered and unpowered equipment including fuel farm activities, oil servicing and pump drainage, and other basic equipment servicing as needed.
  • Safely drive and operate ground support equipment, including belt loaders, tugs, and baggage carts to pick-up and deliver cargo/bags between the terminal, warehouse and aircraft.
  • Perform ground service functions, such as connecting/removing ground power and ground start units and water service.
  • Perform aircraft pushback, wing walking and related guide man functions.
  • Complete other tasks as directed by management.
  • Maintain a secure work environment.

Minimum Requirements
  • HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license

**This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement of the Transport Workers Union (TWU), a labor union which requires joining the TWU and paying union dues.**

  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with others.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather.
