Job description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in building and equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will assist with basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep of the facility.

The Facility Groundskeeper for our Dolton, IL facility is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of facility grounds. This role ensures that all outdoor areas, including lawns, landscapes, walkways, and parking areas, are well-kept, clean, and safe for employees, visitors, and guests.

Qualifications
  • Plant maintenance experience in one of the following areas: preventative maintenance, installations, basic welding knowledge, basic electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to work on weekends and overtime;
  • Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test;
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including movements such as lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and the manipulating and handling of objects.

Key Responsibilities:

    Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, power washing, painting and patching walls.
    Assist with basic repairs to electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems under supervision.
    Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
    Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools, supplies, and work areas.
    Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
    Assist with setup and breakdown for company events or office reconfigurations.
    Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
