Job description

Important Information:

Pay Rate: $30.00 hourly

Shifts: 12 hour shifts both daylight and overnight

Location: Gettysburg, PA

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide armed security services at designated client locations.

  • Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to detect and deter suspicious or criminal activity.

  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access control points.

  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies.

  • Enforce site-specific rules, regulations, and security procedures.

  • Conduct security checks of buildings, equipment, and restricted areas.

  • Write clear and detailed incident reports and daily activity reports.

  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.

  • Maintain situational awareness and take appropriate action to prevent threats or safety hazards.

  • Ensure firearm safety and proper handling at all times.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Valid state ACT 235 Certification.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related field preferred.

  • Clean criminal background (subject to background check).

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Required Skills
  • Strong observational and situational awareness skills.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond to emergencies.

  • Professional communication and report writing skills.

  • Knowledge of use-of-force policies and de-escalation techniques.

  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

Equipment Requirements

As a 1099 contractor, individuals may be required to provide their own equipment, which may include:

  • Duty firearm (approved caliber)

  • Duty belt and holster

  • Body armor (if required by contract)

  • Proper uniform or tactical attire as specified

Work Conditions
  • Indoor and outdoor environments.

  • Will be operating company vehicle on premises
  • May include nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Potential exposure to confrontational situations or emergencies.
