Job Description:

BW Converting Solutions is looking to recruit an exceptional Electrical Engineer to support our continued growth in a very positive, highly team orientated environment.

Assist design team in machinery design from inception to completion that are extensive and complex involving original design work and selection of components and materials. Typically responsible for the development of engineering specifications and original design concepts. May provide detailed technical analysis of equipment. May provide machine process audits and make recommendations to improve line efficiencies through PLIP programs.

The Electrical Engineer I is responsible for assisting in the application, design, development, project management and troubleshooting of OEM equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Gain an understanding of engineering standards, products, systems, and procedures.
  • Perform needs analysis, initiate ideas, and evaluate new products, processes, or systems.
  • Assist in machinery design and the selection of components and materials.
  • Develop of engineering specifications and original design concepts.
  • Provide detailed technical analysis of equipment.
  • Assist in machine process audits and make recommendations to improve line efficiencies.
  • Test and debug equipment to isolate defects
  • Prepare layouts using CAD tools
  • Evaluate moderately complex designs; make engineering changes
  • Prepare schematics, assemblies, detailed drawings, and bills of material (BOM) for less complex equipment.
  • Support assembly teams as needed.
  • May travel to customer site for technical assistance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 0 - 5 years of related experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical assembly layouts
  • Working knowledge of CAD (E-Plan and/or AutoCAD) and engineering systems.
  • Strong logical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
