JOB DESCRIPTION
Join the team that covers one of the most dynamic, fast-growing, and news-rich regions in the country. KDFW FOX 4 is seeking a talented News Photographer who thrives on storytelling, embraces breaking news, and is passionate about creating compelling visual content that informs and engages audiences across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.

  • Collaborate with reporters and producers to create engaging, deadline-driven stories.
  • Cover breaking news and live events using ENG and IP-based transmission technology.
  • Produce content optimized for broadcast, web, streaming, and social media platforms.
  • Operate and maintain cameras, lighting, audio gear, live transmission equipment, and news vehicles.
  • Exercise strong editorial judgment in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years' experience as a television news photographer (competitive market preferred).
  • Strong video composition, lighting, and audio skills.
  • Experience with live transmission technologies (Satellite, Cellular Bonding, IP workflows preferred).
  • Non-linear editing proficiency (e.g., Edius, Adobe Premiere, or similar platforms).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Why FOX 4?
  • Work in Dallas-Fort Worth, the nation's fourth-largest television market and one of the most active news environments in the country.
  • Be part of a newsroom recognized for market-leading breaking news, severe weather coverage, investigative journalism, and community storytelling.
  • Utilize advanced field production and live transmission technologies to deliver content across multiple platforms.
  • Create impactful stories for broadcast, streaming, digital, and social audiences.
  • Work in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility featuring advanced production, newsroom, and content-gathering technology designed to support the next generation of local journalism.
  • Build your portfolio and advance your career alongside some of the industry's most experienced journalists and storytellers.

Bring your creativity, technical expertise, and passion for storytelling to FOX 4 and help deliver the news that matters most to North Texas audiences.
