Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Network Engineer to join our team, responsible for the seamless maintenance and administration of our company's computer networks, ensuring the highest quality broadcast transmission of video, audio, and data on a global scale. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining computer networks, overseeing hardware and software systems, executing disaster recovery operations, fortifying defenses against cyber threats, promptly replacing faulty network hardware components, managing multiple VLANs, managing VPN technologies including IPsec tunnels, and providing client-facing and employee-facing support for all systems, including broadcast, accounting, and corporate IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Maintenance: Ensure the optimal functioning of computer networks, hardware, software, and related systems to guarantee uninterrupted broadcast operations.
  • Disaster Recovery: Execute and manage disaster recovery operations to minimize downtime and protect critical data, software, and hardware.
  • Cybersecurity: Implement robust security measures to safeguard our network infrastructure from potential cyber threats and attacks.
  • Hardware Replacement: Identify and replace faulty hardware components promptly to maintain network integrity.
  • VLAN and VPN Management: Create/Manage VLANs and VPN technologies, including IPsec tunnels, to establish secure communication channels.
  • Integration Support: Assist the integration team on new builds and network build-outs, ensuring seamless and efficient network integration.
  • System Support: Provide comprehensive support for all systems, including broadcast, accounting, and corporate IT systems, both client-facing and employee-facing.
  • User Collaboration: Collaborate closely with network users to identify potential issues, troubleshoot existing problems, and provide timely resolutions.
  • Client and Employee Interaction: Act as a point of contact for clients and employees, delivering support and addressing inquiries related to network systems.
  • Live Broadcast Production Planning: Contribute to the planning of live broadcast production, ensuring the network infrastructure meets the demands of our production.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in network administration and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices and disaster recovery operations.
  • Familiarity with Fortinet products, including switches and FortiGate firewall is a must.
  • Experience with VPN technologies, including IPsec tunnels.
  • Some broadcast networking experience is a plus, including knowledge of VOIP, Dante, NDI, HLS, RTSP and SMPTE 2110.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
