Matteson School District 162 is seeking a general music/vocal music teacher. The candidate for this position must be a high energy, enthusiastic teacher who will develop a music program that nurtures and expands the creative talents of his/her students.
The music teacher is responsible for teaching general music to all students. Students perform at district-wide events during the Christmas season and at spring concerts. The candidate for this position must also be well-organized and possess excellent classroom management and communicative skills. Fine arts are an integral component in the district's educational program and it's reflected in the student performances at school and other venues.
